"Delicious Autumn Harvest" Series
In May, small seedlings stand in neat rows across the water-filled rice paddies.
While I love the sight of the blue sky, white clouds, and sparkling sun reflected in that water, there is something truly beautiful about the scene of golden rice ears swaying in the breeze.
Kokeshi- Girl, a true rice lover, was thrilled at the arrival of the new rice crop and decided to enjoy it in the most delicious way possible.
That’s right—a salted rice ball (*shio-onigiri*).
Being a bit greedy, she made a massive rice ball—so big she had to cradle it with both hands.
The rice glistens, and the *nori* seaweed shines, too.
It’s almost too much happiness to handle!
